New Domestic Water Bore Drilling
Chittering, WA

The Challenge
Establishing a reliable water supply in the Chittering region can be challenging due to varying clay soils, sloping terrain, and underlying rock formations. For this property, the aim was to locate a suitable groundwater source while drilling through changing ground conditions.
Our Approach
Before drilling, we reviewed historical groundwater data to help identify suitable target depths. An on-site field divining assessment was then carried out to help locate a potential fractured rock zone.
A compact truck-mounted drilling rig was used to minimise disturbance to the property while providing the capability to drill through the varying ground conditions.
The Result
Using down-hole pneumatic hammers, the bore was drilled through the clay profile into the underlying rock to reach a water-bearing zone.
The bore was completed to a depth of 41 metres and lined with PVC bore casing. Slotted intake sections were installed to suit the water-bearing zone.
Following air-lift development, the bore produced clean water, providing the property with a reliable water supply.
